August 29th Forecast

Wednesday:  The heat will continue to build today, as Lawrence will see a high temperature of 95° with mostly sunny skies.  Winds will remain out of the south for the day at 5-10 mph.  Our region will continue to dry out this week with the building heat, however, there may be a little relief in sight.  Look for Hurricane Isaac to track through the southern plains towards Lawrence and eastern Kansas Thursday and Friday.  Due to the current track for Isaac's remnants, there is a 30% chance for rain on Friday and Saturday.
