The missing quarter-tank of gas was the subject of scrutiny in court Monday. Detectives conducted an experiment to determine how much gas would be used if they retraced Murray's route. They came up with an extra quarter-tank of gas. A second trip, that included a detour to Carmin Ross' home, ended up with the same amount of fuel as Murray's car.
