The Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade was in danger of being canceled this year because the Eldridge Hotel, its major sponsor, went into bankruptcy and was sold. But the CornerBank took over the sponsorship and the parade is still on. The 11th Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in downtown Lawrence.
