Sports Director

Call Kevin at 785-832-6305.
At what moment did you realize you wanted to become a journalist (videographer, meteorologist, sports reporter, etc.)? And if there wasn't a specific point in time, what was the motivating factor?
Honestly, I don't remember wanting to be anything else. I grew up a big sports fan following the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers. When I arrived at KU, the choice was easy. Besides, it's fun to watch TV at the office.
When you really want to relax and let your hair down in Lawrence, where do you go and what do you do?
I plead the 5th. But if you ever see me out, feel free to say hello.
What comes to your mind as the most memorable local story you've covered?
Two words -- Roy Williams! Unless, of course, you count that driveway press conference at Al Bohl's place!
If you couldn't be a reporter, what occupation would you want to try?
I'd love to be the Croc Hunter's assistant.
Which two people do you admire most? One should be someone you know. The other, someone you've never met.
I admire my Mom and Dad. They've made me who I am today. (Is that good?) I'd love to meet JFK. His family and his assassination fascinate me.
If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one song to listen to and one book to read for the duration, what would they be?
What else?...'Same Song' by Digital Underground. After all, it's the same song over and over. As for the book, I have a hard time putting anything down from the 'Left Behind' series.
If they were going to execute you tomorrow, rightly or wrongly, what would your last meal consist of?
A filet, cooked medium, from either The Capitol Grill or Del Frisco's! Love it!
