Jayhawks headed to Olympics
LAWRENCE - Two Jayhawks will be headed to the London Olympics.
Sophomores Liana Salazar and Ingrid Vidal, of the Kansas soccer team, earned roster spots for their native Colombia. They'll be traveling to London later this month to compete in the Olympics. This will be Colombia's Olympic debut.
The University says the two have been training for the past month in Colombia. Next week, they will travel with their team to Switzerland to play in an international tournament ahead of the Olympics, which runs July 25-August 9.
