Lawrence High and Free State earn spots in playoffs
Win and you're in. It's that simple for the Lawrence High football team. A 57-16 victory Friday night against the Wyandotte High School Bulldogs assures the Lions a spot in the class 6A playoffs.
Free State High was in the same situation as LHS, tonight's 47-14 win against the Leavenworth Pioneers earning the team a spot in post-season play.
Lawrence High and Free State go head-to-head Friday.
In class 4A action, the Tonganoxie Chieftains hosting the Jefferson West Tigers on our 6Sports High School Game of the Week. Tonganoxie beat Jefferson West 9-7.
Elsewhere, the Eudora Cardinals improve to 2-0 in district play, bombing Ottawa on the road 50-6. Eudora plays Baldwin Thursday.
Basehor-Linwood knocks off Perry-Lecompton, 29-14.
And, on the 8-man gridiron, St. Mary's Crusaders knocking off the Veritas Eagles 66-48.
