Free State beats Olathe North in the 6Sports High School Game of the Week

Bob Lisher’s crew rebounded against Olathe North Friday night, picking up a 34-28 win at home.

Just a week ago, the Free State High football team suffered its first loss of the season, and Olathe South knocked off the firebirds in a thriller, 38-35.

Friday night’s matchup leaves Free State with a 3-1 record for the season.

Lawrence High beat Shawnee Mission North Friday 46-20, leaving LHS with a 3-1 record, as well.

The LHS Lions take on Olathe South next Friday in our 6Sports High School Game of the Week.

Tonganoxie hosted Mill Valley in Class 4A, with a 59-0 Mill Valley victory.

The Piper Pirates hosted The Bonner Springs Braves, with a 29-23 home win for Piper.

Eudora beat Paola 35-7 on the road.

Basehor-Linwood, also on the road Friday, picked up its second win of the season, with a 44-20 bombing of Lansing.
