Lawrence - Artists are turning to their art to express their opinions on Governor Sam Brownback's budget cuts.

The upper level of Quinton's was transformed into an art gallery Friday evening as part of Final Fridays.  Local and national artists submitted their work to show their disappointment about the elimination of the Kansas arts commission through an event titled "BrownBackLash."

Kansas is the first state in the country to not have an arts commission.
