Lawrence teen returns from D.C.
Free State graduate, Trei Dudley, returned to Kansas today after receiving the National Youth Award in Washington, D.C.
A bus full of her closest family and friends from the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, drove to Kansas City to show their support.
Her mother, Cathy Brittain, received a flooding of calls, texts and emails of congratulations, since yesterday's big announcement.
She was praised by several celebrities, including actor Denzel Washington.
The Boys and Girls Club will fly her to Washington D.C. to meet with the President once election season slows down.
