KU student doctor identified as victim of fatal train crash
Dr. Patricia Denning, a University of Kansas Student Health Services physician, has been identified as the victim in a fatal train crash in Lawrence.
The incident was reported at 11:10 a.m. Monday, near Seventh and New York streets. Police said no foul play is suspected.
In addition to her work at KU, Denning, 56, was a volunteer with Health Care Access and a former board member of the Douglas County Dental Clinic and Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment.
