KU student creates chalk art for KDOT
KU fans attending tomorrow's football game will have an artistic message waiting for them.
A project sponsored by Kansas Department of Transportation will re-enforce their “You drink. You drive. You lose.” message.
KDOT put out a call for artists to submit designs for the project.
KU freshman art student Alexandria Stanley was selected and did a chalk and pastel drawing.
Although she hasn't ever worked with chalk art of this size, she said she is excited to share the message through her art.
“I hope that people really can see the beauty in the art and just have it cross their mind when they go out after the game Saturday night and party and have a designated driver,” Stanley said.
The art can be found in front of Memorial Stadium.
