Dr. Bob Books inspired by late athletic director
Doctor Bob Frederick, former KU Athletic Director will soon be remembered through books.
The day a child gets their first library card can be exciting for them.
Now it will be even more exciting at the Lawrence Public Library.
A new program called Dr. Bob Books will provide children getting their first library card with a book.
The books focus on healthy eating, good sportsmanship and being respectful.
The program is expected to reach over a thousand children a year.
A formal announcement from the Frederick family will be held on Friday at the Library.
