The wheels came off for the Lawrence Raiders in the top of the eighth inning in their 5-2 loss to the Ozark (Mo.) Merchants.
The Merchants scored three runs, two unearned on three errors in the eighth.
Raiders pitcher Alex Hardman took the loss while allowing three earned runs during his complete game. Merchants pitcher Matt Jordan recorded the win in relief with four innings of one-run ball.
