Phone service was cut much of Thursday to all Lawrence schools and the Lawrence school district headquarters. Service was restored at 3:25 p.m., district spokeswoman Julie Boyle said.

District officials said a phone line was cut due to construction at Third and Wisconsin streets. No incoming calls can be received.

In case of any emergencies, the district’s hotline cell phone can be reached at (785) 218-4970. The administrator in charge will answer the line. Any school or district official can be reached through this number.
