Friday, February 23, 2007
The weather is expected to turn ugly late this evening as the year's first round of severe thunderstorms could be on their way.
"The main threats this evening are going to be large hail and potential strong winds," said Elizabeth Konop with the Topeka National Weather Service.
Weather reports indicate that storms could begin this evening, possibly turning severe after midnight.
Storms could continue off and on throughout Saturday with a chance of snow storms starting after 11 p.m.
Winds as high as 30 miles per hour are possible late Saturday night.
