Mayor Mike Amyx has scheduled a press conference for 9 a.m. Friday at City Hall to announce the commission’s choice to be the next city manager.
Amyx declined to comment on who will be named as the next city manager. Commissioners had previously announced they had interviewed three finalists for the position: David Corliss, Lawrence’s interim city manager; R. Leon Churchill, Jr., managing director of Reading, Pa.; and Dennis Taylor, city manager of Eugene, Ore.
