About 10 graduate teaching assistants gathered Friday at Wescoe Beach to spread the word about negotiations for more pay and benefits from the university. The minimum pay for a GTA is $10,000 a year. The Graduate Teaching Assistants Coalition says the living wage is at least $13,000 a year.
