Plan aims to save more trees

Some Lawrencians are raising concerns about the city’s current tree removal process. Richard Morantz, a resident, says he’s concerned that the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department does not spend enough time looking into the trees that they cut down. And he wants the city to provide broader and longer periods of public notice before removing the trees.
