KU ROTC troops plan night training on west campus

Thursday, October 27, 2005

If you see camouflaged troops taking over Kansas University’s west campus in the dark early next week, don’t worry — it’s not an invasion.

KU Air Force ROTC cadets will conduct routine training from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday on west campus, KU’s Office of University Relations said in a brief note today.

“Employees on west campus, as well as pedestrians and drivers on nearby roadways, including Bob Billings Parkway, should not be alarmed if they see cadets with flashlights, camouflage gear and other items used in their training,” the note said.
