Hurricanes causing rising construction costs

Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma hit hundreds of miles from Kansas but the aftermath of the storms is affecting Lawrence. Efforts to rebuild the Gulf Coast states are causing construction costs to rise nationwide, which could put a damper on the Lawrence school district’s current construction project.
