Weather conditions appeared to be causing havoc this evening on the Kansas Turnpike west of Lawrence.
Several traffic accidents in the east and westbound lanes were being reported to emergency dispatchers.
The accidents appeared to be west of the Lecompton interchange. At least one may have involved an injury.
Light snow has been falling most of the afternoon, making highways slick.
