Summer movies are capable off providing a little magic to the season. And that is exactly what "Bewitched" brings: little magic. Will Ferrell portrays an egocentric movie star whose fading box office has led him to spearhead a TV remake of the 1960s TV series. Not wanting to be upstaged, he insists on casting a complete unknown as his co-star. He then discovers Isabel (played by Nicole Kidman) who unbeknownst to him happens to be a real witch.
Also opening this week is "Land of the Dead," the fourth entry in George Romero's durable zombie series. This time the creatures show remarkable learning capabilities in their quest to destroy the city of the living.
Lindsay Lohan returns to the breezy remakes that she does best in "Herbie: Fully Loaded," a female version of Disney's racetrack romance, "The Love Bug," featuring the anthropomorphic VW Beetle.
And finally at the art house is "Walk On Water," a thriller from Israel that finds an intelligence officer on the trail of a Nazi war criminal who buddies up to the man's liberal grandchildren as a means to track him down.
