Business wants record tax break

Lawrence city officials are being asked to give up a record amount of property taxes as the price for landing a company’s $58 million expansion. Berry Plastics Corp., the parent company of Packerware Corp. in Lawrence, says it’s willing to make the investment and add another 78 jobs in Lawrence.
