Two injured in K-10 accident

Wednesday, April 27, 2005

Two people were injured in a traffic accident late this morning on Kansas Highway 10 east of Lawrence near the East Hills Business Park.

The two were transported by helicopter ambulance to an area hospital.

Authorities were continuing to respond to the accident about 11:55 a.m., so there was no immediate word on the identity of the two people. The accident occurred about 11 a.m. in the westbound lanes at the entrance to the business park, which is just east of Lawrence.

There were two vehicles involved in the accident -- a purple sedan and a flatbed truck belonging to LRM Industries, which has a ready mix concrete plant nearby.

Several law enforcement units and fire department vehicles were on the scene.
