KU announces new education school dean

The director of the School of Education at Colorado State University has been named education dean at Kansas University, officials announced today.

Rick Ginsberg, who has been in his position at CSU since 1995, will start at KU in August. He replaces Angela Lumpkin, who resigned in October.

Ginsberg has written three books, 50 articles in chapters in more than two dozen books. His areas of expertise include school reform, learning disabilities, minorities in higher education, administrator training, school law, instructional improvement and educational change.

His most recent book focuses on a vocational success model for individuals with learning disabilities.
