For the first time publicly, Lawrence City Commissioner Mike Rundle announced Tuesday night that he is gay. The announcement comes on the heels of the negative campaign against Commissioner David Schauner . Rundle says he's had similar experiences during his campaigns, and so he decided it was time to put the rumors to rest.
