Mel Gibson's epic take on the biblical passion play has been the center of controversy. The Pope has said that "It is as it was," and local pastors agree.
Pastors Paul Gray and John McDermott had a chance to see a special screening of the film in Chicago. They described the movie as "a gripping experience."
Though violent, many biblical scholars believe the film is an accurate depiction.
