If you like outdoor activities, this is your day -- warm temperatures, light winds and mostly sunny skies.
Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist, says by noon the temperature should be 79 and by 4 p.m. it will hit 86, with southerly winds 5 to 8 mph.
"There will be plenty of afternoon sunshine," Schack said. "We're going to see more sunlight in the second half of the day than in the first half."
The only rain in the forecast is a slight chance for thunderstorms after midnight north of Interstate 70, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight, the temperature will drop to 64 by early Wednesday morning. Wednesday's high will be 87.
By Thursday and Friday, afternoon temperatures will continue to push close to the 90-degree mark, topping out at 89 on both days, Schack said. The overnight lows will continue to be in the mid 60s Thursday and Friday.
The next chance for rain will be Friday evening. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday night.
