Art a la Carte

Saturday, May 24, 2003

An exhibit that opened Friday night at Roy's Gallery will honor graduating Lawrence High School seniors who have earned scholarships to attend art schools next fall. And it will recognize the work of longtime LHS art teacher Pat Nemchock, who is retiring after 29 years at the school. The show opened with a public reception Friday night at the West Lawrence gallery. And you can check out the work of Lawrence artist Barbara Nordling at a downtown Lawrence venue. Nordling's paintings and pastels are on view at the Lawrence Arts Center gallery in the 900 block of New Hampshire Street through Tuesday.
