LAWRENCE - A cooler full of meth lab materials was found in Lawrence on Monday afternoon.

A city worker came across the cooler near 12th and Oregon while mowing on a tractor. The worker came in contact with the chemicals and called for help. City officials say the worker didn't feel well and was taken to a hospital.

Lawrence police say the cooler contained hazardous material that could have been used to make methamphetamine. HazMat officials were called out to inspect the contents.

We will have more on this story tonight on 6News at 6:00 and 10:00.
