The Kauffman Center, 17th and Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO
From the organizers: We welcome the return of Bernard Labadie, one of the world’s leading conductors of Baroque and Classical repertoire. Maestro Labadie has conducted many of the great orchestras of the world including the Boston Symphony and Chicago Symphony, and had a triumphant debut at the Metropolitan Opera. Making his Kansas City debut is virtuoso pianist Arnaldo Cohen, whose playing led the San Francisco Chronicle to write, “This is a fabulous talent.” Mr. Cohen will perform Mendelssohn’s dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1.
